Registration for the first test is closed and the places were limited
UHR confirms that registration is closed. That it closed on 2 July and that the test sold out is press reporting we have not been able to confirm with UHR.
UHR writes: “Registration for the citizenship test is closed and it is not possible to register. Information about when registration opens for the next sitting will follow.” The registration service at medborgarskapsprovet.uhr.se shows the same and gives no date for the next registration period.
The places were limited
According to Göteborgs-Posten, around 1,000 people were called to the first sitting, while an estimated 34,000 people are expected to need the test. The Migration Agency gives Stockholm as the location of the first sitting.
This part is press reporting
That registration opened in early June, that it closed on 2 July and that the test sold out appears in the reporting. We have not found those details on uhr.se, regeringen.se or migrationsverket.se, and therefore present them as unconfirmed. We do not post them as official dates.
Why it matters to you
You cannot register on your own initiative: registration requires a letter from the Migration Agency. If the pattern repeats, the window between the letter and the test day is short, and that time is the only study time you get. Follow the status page for the next sitting.
